T.E.C. Member Bill Zbieszkowski at the Herman Lucerne Memorial Tournament

The Herman Lucerne Memorial Backcountry Fishing Championship is held at the Everglades National Park each September. It’s a unique
and challenging two day “catch and release” event. Anglers young and old of all skills levels focus on catching species like snook, snapper, redfish, trout, bonefish, tarpon and black drum. The views are spectacular and the weekend is full of fun, sun and a lot of fishing.

At the 2013 event, Evinrude gave the chance to send one lucky T.E.C. member to the tournament to be guided throughout the tournament by professional angler and captain, C.A. Richardson of Flats TV and Hell’s Bay Boatworks.  T.E.C. member Bill Zbieszkowski was the winner of a contest E-NATION presented to it’s engine owners and he got the chance to travel down to Islamorada, Florida in the Everglades National Park, which is a designated World Heritage Site, to fish along side C.A. Richardson. In the above video, Bill talks about his time at the tournament and explains why being a T.E.C. member is so beneficial.
